Method
Preheat the oven to 190°C. Peel and core the apples, quarter and cut in to chunks.
Place the flour and brown sugar in a bowl and mix well. Cut the margarine or
butter into small cubes and add this to the brown sugar and flour. Mix with
your fingertips until it resembles an even crumb texture. Transfer to freezer to chill while you prepare apples.
Put the apples into a bowl with the sugar, flour and cinnamon. If you want to have an apple texture cut the apple in bigger cube size.
Cover the fruit with the crumble mixture. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until the crumble is golden and the apple hot.
Can be serve with thick cream, ice cream or custard.
